Department of Pharmacy offers specialties Pharmacy and Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 2,000 students, while the specialty Pharmacy including such three branches as Hospital Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology as well as Drug Operation & Management. Currently the Department proudly owns over 80 full-time teachers, including 30% senior title holders, 63.8% Master and PhD graduates, and more than 86% dual-quality teachers. In addition, the Department recruits senior experts from the Pharmacy Department of tertiary hospitals, well-known pharmaceutical enterprises and pharmaceutical chain stores as part-time teachers, who engage significantly in specialty development and construction. The Department has over 9,000m2 on-campus practice bases, including Analyzing Center, GMP Solid Preparation Simulation Center, Simulation Service Center of Intravenous Infusion, Simulation Pharmacy and Herbal Garden. The Department also attaches great importance to the construction of off-campus practice bases and has built bases both inside and outside Jiangsu province involving over 80 tertiary hospitals, major pharmaceutical companies and pharmaceutical manufacturers. The Department has successfully applied 3 National Natural Science Fund and Provincial Natural Science Fund for the past several years and proudly owns 2 provincial awards in Teaching Accomplishment and 1 provincial Excellent Course. 

The specialty of Pharmacy has been accredited as the key construction specialty financed by the Central Government and key provincial construction specialty in exemplary vocational colleges. The main courses are Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Medicine Administration, Equipment Management and Medication Guidance.
