Department of Clinical Medicine offers specialties as Clinical Medicine, Rehabilitation Technology and Medical Image Technology. The Department proudly owns an excellent teaching team with profound expertise, which consists of over 52 full-time teachers, including 48.1% senior title holders, 66% Master and PhD graduates, and more than 90% dual-quality teachers. The faculty also proudly owns 1 “Blue & Green Project” candidate and 4 Excellent Key Teachers accredited by provincial authorities and many experts in industry are engaged in teaching as part-time teachers. The Department has built many on-campus practice centers, including General Medical Science Center, Clinical Medical Center and Rehabilitation Center, etc., while the Rehabilitation Center was funded by the Ministry of Finance in 2012. The Department also has 87 off-campus practice bases to guarantee internship posts for students. To promote the quality of talent training, the Department developed “3+2” and “3+1” Articulation Programs in Rehabilitation with Nanjing Medical University and Sheffield Hallam University in UK respectively. Professor from Fujita Health University in Japan was recruited as Guest Professor to be involved in training program and many teachers and students joined exchange programs as part of the international cooperation.

The specialty of Rehabilitation is one of the Key Construction Specialties in Jiangsu Province. Main courses are Anatomy, Rehabilitation and Physiology, Human Growth and Development, Function Assessment, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Clinical Rehabilitation, etc. Target Employers are Departments of Rehabilitation in hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, rehabilitation centers, convalescent homes, etc.
