“3+1 Articulation Programme” of SVHC-SHU been successfully accredited

The Accreditation Meeting of "3+1 Articulation Programme" between Suzhou Vocational Health College and Sheffield Hallam University was held in Conference Room 223 of Administration Building on Shihu Campus on March 19, 2018. Nine people of the accreditation panel and university delegates from Sheffield Hallam University (hereinafter referred to as SHU) attended the meeting. President Lv Junfeng and Vice President Wu Lirong, and the relevant department deans also attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Gu Shuqin, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs.

Prior to the commencement of the accreditation, President Lv Junfeng, on behalf of the College, extended a sincere welcome to the members of the SHU accreditation panel and the delegates of the University. President Lv said that the accreditation of "3+1 Articulation Programme" is an important test of our college's international cooperation. He hoped that through this accreditation, the cooperation between SVHC and SHU would be furthered, and promote our college's international cooperation and exchange to a higher level.

Subsequently, Vice President Wu Lirong made a report. She gave a comprehensive introduction to the basic situation of the College from six aspects: the general situation of the College, the development strategy and objectives, the management methods of teaching quality and standards, the employment and management of teaching staff, the external evaluation, the Infrastructure and facilities. After Wu's report, the SHU accreditation panel exchanged views and asked questions to the participants of our college.

Gu Shuqin, Deputy Director of the Foreign Office, and Zhang Yajuan, Director of the Information Center made reports on "3+1 Articulation Programme" and books and computer resources respectively in Room 223 of the Administration Building and on the 3rd floor of the Information Center.

During the accreditation, the SHU panel and delegates visited the showroom of college history, rehabilitation laboratory, nursing laboratory, students’ affairs center, library, information center/computer laboratory and psychological counseling center, etc. They also exchanged with the student representatives of "3+1 Articulation Programme" and learned more about the achievements of this programme.

After college introduction, project report, exchange with student, teacher’s report, books and digital resources report, the SHU panel gave high recognition to the work of our college's "3+1 Articulation Programme", especially to the teacher construction, specialty construction, personnel training and international cooperation. They believed that our college attached great importance to the "3+1 Articulation Programme" by giving it favorable policy support, teaching management, student and teacher development. The panel unanimously approved accreditation.

President Lv Junfeng made a statement at the meeting. On behalf of the college leadership team and all the staff, he expressed his heartfelt thanks to the SHU accreditation panel and delegates. He said that strengthening international cooperation is one of the important tasks of the 13th Five-Year Development Plan of the College. The College will taking this accreditation as an opportunity to further improve the "3+1 Articulation Programme", actively create opportunities for international cooperation and exchanges and bring it to a new level.
