Delegation of Teachers and Students from Taiwan Tajen University of Science and Technology Visited Our College

On May 24 and 27, 2019, Huang Guoguang, vice president of Taiwan Daren University of Science and Technology, led a total of 27 teacher-student delegation to visit our college for exchange and study.

Luo Xiaoqing, vice president of the college and the heads of relevant departments and secondary colleges (schools and departments) warmly received the delegation and held a brief opening ceremony. President Luo delivered a welcoming speech, warmly welcomed the visit of teachers and students of Taiwan Tajen University of Science and Technology, and briefly introduced the general situation and development of the college.

Then, the delegation attended the seminar to study the relevant contents of basic theory and techniques of traditional Chinese medicine in Nursing Department, Clinical Medicine Science Department and Pharmacy Department. The visiting teachers and students learned the origin and basic techniques of scraping and cupping, and listened carefully and took an active part in the practice of scraping and cupping. They learned about the application of Chinese rehabilitation therapy such as acupuncture, massage and Baduanjin in modern rehabilitation medicine, and personally experienced Chinese Kung Fu. In the school of pharmacy, they visited the herbarium of traditional Chinese medicine, learned the use of scales, made sachets, and tasted traditional Chinese medicine diet.

Later, the delegation visited the college's affiliated Eye Hospital and Stomatology Hospital to learn about the model of training optometry professionals and stomatologists in the mainland and the social services of the two affiliated hospitals.

The Taiwan teacher-student delegation showed strong interest in the basic theory and techniques of traditional Chinese medicine, and gave high evaluation to the construction of the training base, the affiliated hospitals and campus culture of our college.

The visit and study of the teacher-student delegation of Taiwan Tajen University of Science and Technology has effectively promoted the in-depth communication between teachers and students of both sides and cultural exchanges across the Taiwan Strait. The college will continue to take the "characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine health care" as the platform, give full play to the brand characteristics and professional advantages of the college, launch short-term exchange programs of traditional Chinese medicine health care such as traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, massage and traditional Chinese medicine nursing techniques, and carry out in-depth professional exchanges and researches.
